A Christian in the marketplace – They believe the marketplace is an evil place but feel they can hold their ground as Christians. Survival is their objective, and they need a lot of maintenance because they see themselves as POWS, forced to survive with dignity in an undignified place.
A Christian applying biblical principles in the marketplace – They have a more positive outlook and believe they are called to try and apply biblical principles in their own work, but do not believe that applying these principles can do much for the corporation they work in or for the marketplace as a whole. Applying the principles personally helps them overcome temptation and helps to keep a good witness. The marketplace will not change them, but they will not change the marketplace.
A Christian working in the power of the Holy Spirit – These believers apply biblical principles at work, but they also seek God daily and throughout the day for the Holy Spirits guidance as they face challenges, deal with people, and need wisdom, clarity and creativity for their work. They indeed hear from Him and they follow Him as he leads them in the direction they need to go and the people they need to talk with.
A Christian committed to the total transformation of the marketplace – These believers have experienced the transformational power of biblical principles applied personally and in the employees of a company. They have also experienced the power of the Holy Spirit opening doors of conversation, giving wisdom and knowledge on projects and problems.
They have now gained such a big view of God and experienced His power in such a way that they are now believing him for a marketplace transformation. They are able to believe that God is going to use them along with other believers to transform their company, their industry, their city even the marketplaces of America and the world.
